The BirdLife Melbourne Photography Group went on an outing to the surf coast – think “Bell’s Beach” if you’re a non-local – last Saturday. At times, the birds were few and far between, so some of us amused ourselves by taking pictures of other things. This is one of a series of shots taken from the cliff-top track near Aireys Inlet lighthouse.

This sports photography is so much easier than bird photography!

When I get a few more spare moments, I’ll post the series of shots that this came from.  Maybe I can even get them into a slide-show, like my mate David Jenkins has done with some brolgas dancing in the dust (the slide-show is below the series of images).
